Welcome to Tijuana (2008)

„Welcome To Tijuana“ is a documentary that focuses on migration issues in and outside the Mexican border town Tijuana – a city rooted in old and modern Mexican culture, embossed by McDonalds and Mariachi. Concerning the cynical situation of being stuck between two borders, the film shines a light on the people who suffer from it.

The film is focusing on migration issues in and outside the Mexican border town Tijuana by showing the situation through the eyes of the Mexican migrants. Welcome to Tijuana is a symbiosis between the traditional and modern, in form and content rooted in old and modern Mexican culture.
